PAINTING TOURS

Travel Tours inspire unique paintings. The art spirit is enhanced by inhaling the air, hearing the sounds, and experiencing the atmosphere of the places you visit. Watercolor sketches and reference photographs you take while traveling permit in-depth understanding of unfamiliar places. Let me show you how to turn the inspiration you find when you travel into paintings that reveal the magic of the places you visit.

This ten day tour can be described with one word: PERFECT!

But since I realize you need to know more, this quote from Kay Pederson, one of the artists participating in my 2011 tour to Domaine du Haut Baran, says it all...
"This is too good to be real...what movie are we in?... This was my first impression upon arrival at Haut Baran. Cinematically... It was as beautiful a setting as one could imagine, and each day was an artful "melange" of "aquarelles", activities, visits to "les petite villages"...and food and wine of the region. All was effortlessly directed by Judy and our charming hosts! It was a tour, "EXTRAORDINAIRE!”
This tour will be your special time to paint, tour, shop, dine, and experience the best of Southwest France... the Lot Valley... Land of Wonders. We will explore this corner of France famous for its Cahors vineyards and unequaled prehistoric and medieval sites. We will visit charming villages, including St. Cirq Lapopie (voted the most beautiful village in France), a bastide town, a local winery, an antique fair, a prehistoric cave with paintings on the walls that are over 25,000 years old, and more.
We will enjoy beautiful accommodations with views from the terrace and paint in a new, air conditioned art studio created especially with artists in mind. And when we're not painting we might be relaxing by the swimming pool or enjoying the hot tub! We're promised tastes of exquisite regional wines and French country cuisine by candlelight! And we'll enjoy a relaxing, informal "pizza" night... but we won't find pepperoni in France! Our "torte" may be covered with French style goat cheese and smoked duck bacon! I WISH they delivered to my home in Lake Oswego, Oregon!!!!!!!
